Flexible deadline types
Choose from four configurations:
1. Single fixed
All participants share the same completion date.
e.g. Everyone must complete the GDPR course by June 25, 2026.
2. Single rolling
Each participant's deadline is calculated from their individual enrollment date plus a set completion window.
e.g. Each participant must complete within 30 days of enrolling — someone enrolling on June 1 has until July 1.
3. Recurring fixed
All participants share a deadline that repeats every defined period. The course resets each cycle and learners must re-complete it to maintain certified status.
e.g. Everyone must complete the Safety course by January 31 each year. The next deadline is January 31, 2027.
4. Recurring rolling
Each participant has a personal deadline based on their enrollment date, repeating every period. Certification must be renewed each cycle to stay valid.
e.g. Each participant must re-complete every 6 months from their enrollment date — someone enrolling June 1 has deadlines on Dec 1, Jun 1, and so on.
Certification for recurring deadlines
When a recurring deadline is active, the course resets each period and learners must re-complete it to maintain their certified status. Certification is tracked per participant and visible in the participants table.
Automatic notifications for participants and admins
Learners receive notifications when enrolled with a deadline, when the completion window opens, and as reminders at 30, 14, and 7 days out — plus an overdue alert if they miss it. Admins get the same sequence for fixed deadlines.
Color-coded status labels for learners
Learners see deadline status labels directly in the home module, courses overview, and course hub — keeping urgency visible at every touchpoint.
