Table building block

Editors can now add tables directly in the editor, available across News, Pages, Events and Lessons. Add a table from the building blocks list, then type and format content cell by cell.

Table building block

Formatting built in
Add or remove rows and columns as you go, and apply quick styles for a header row, a header column or striped rows. Each cell supports rich text, so you can add bold, links, highlights and lists right inside a cell.

Adjust the column size by double-clicking on the divider:

Paste straight from Excel

Copy a table from Excel and paste it directly into a table in ahead. The rows and columns come across as they are, no manual rebuilding needed.

Where tables help
Tables turn dense information into something scannable. Here are some use cases:

Where

Use case

What the columns hold

News

Rollout timeline

Date, milestone, status

Page

Office directory

Location, opening hours, contact

Event

Event agenda

Time, topic, speaker

Lesson

Quick-reference glossary

Term, definition

One more thing: the Table building block comes with undo and redo actions that cover structural table changes, and those same actions are now available in the Rich Text building block too.
