We’ve revamped the thumbnail customization process to give you more flexibility and visual control. Here’s what’s new:
When previewing any page type or adding it to a campaign, you'll now see image suggestions that are automatically generated based on your content. Suggestions are coming from page content, so if you already added some images as a part of image building block those same image will appear as suggestions for you. For the communities thumbnail, we've created a library of suggestions, helping you get started quickly with a polished visual. From now on you don't need to search for the perfect thumbnail—it's ready for you!
You now have the option to edit image thumbnails using either the crop tool or our new focal point feature. This allows you to highlight the most important part of your image, ensuring it stands out across all thumbnail variations—whether on desktop, mobile, or hero news. Simply set the focal point on the key area of the image, and you're all set!
Easily adjust the image crop or choose a focal point, and instantly see a live preview of your edits for all thumbnail variations displayed on the side.
Prefer a custom image? You can still upload and fine-tune a specific thumbnail that fits your vision perfectly.
For the HERO news module, the first suggested image is automatically set as the thumbnail for news items, but you have full control to select or customize any of the suggested images to match your brand’s look.
These features are available not just for live content, but also for drafts and scheduled news items, ensuring a seamless process from creation to publication.
