editors to track who has read certain content and who hasn't read it yet

users to confirm that they've read a document already

users to track which readings are mandatory ones
When there is content to be read, it will be shown prominently in the user's notification section
Ideal use cases are very important content, and content that requires complicance with regard to mandatory reading, e.g. safety measures or price lists.
